SG PERSPECTIVE

Pastor Appreciation Month

Dear pastors and chairpersons of the greater EFC family,

Peace to you in the Lord!

October is a special and memorable month for EFC, one is because October 11th is the anniversary of our first church, EFC Los Angeles; moreover, EFC General Assembly was also established in the month of October, on top of that, traditionally in the United States, October is the pastor appreciation month.

For that reason, we encourage each EFC local church to designate one Sunday in the month of October to be “EFCGA Sunday” to commemorate the establishment of the EFC General Assembly. On one hand, we want to remember God’s abundant and marvelous grace that the EFC family has received all these years, on the other hand, we want to sincerely appreciate all the pastors and their families who serve sacrificially and faithfully without grumbling through many challenges and trials.

On behalf of the EFC General Assembly, I want to say to all the pastors, “Thank you! We really appreciate you!” As it says in 1 Corinthians 15:58, “Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.” May we all be encouraged.

Finally, I want to thank all the churches for following the General Assembly master calendar, to conduct congregational meetings, and to elect next year’s elders and deacons by the end of October. As we prepare for next year’s General Assembly Meeting at EFC Irvine on February 21-24, we pray for all of us to carry on the EFC spirit and to continue the EFC movement!
