Praise be to the loving heavenly Father for You sit enthroned over the flood. We offer up our thanksgiving for keeping us during the COVID-19 pandemic this past year. Despite experiencing worries, hardship, and challenges during the pandemic, we also experience You as our solid rock, our refuge, our Savior, and our God. You are the shield we depend on and the horn that rescues us, for that we praise and worship You.
During this past extraordinary year, You inspired us not only to stand firmly by Your strength, but also to be Your beautiful testimony during this difficult moment, allowing the light of the Gospel, the light of life to shine upon this world. You said, “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house.” (Matthew 5:14-15)
In these last days, You allow us to think deeply on how we can shine for You both at home and in the society. You also allow us to reflect upon the effectiveness of various ministries to make church shine brighter in the darkness and to become a blessing to our society and nation.
May the Lord pour down grace and power, allow us not only to shine during the pandemic, but will continue to carry out the Great Commission in the post-pandemic era, to prepared for a great revival and the coming of the Lord.
Commit your way to the Lord,
Trust in him, and he will act.
Your righteousness shall go forth as light,
And Your justice as the noonday.
May God’s people proclaim the Gospel
Called out of darkness, into his marvelous light.
(Psalm 37:5-6, 1 Peter 2:9)
